Spatial Blanks

Modified Arts presents Spatial Blanks, a group exhibition curated by Miriam Del Saz & Yolanda Franco.This exhibition gathers the perspective of eight women artists of different nationalities and the Argentine collective Instantes Gráficos, which through the nature of printmaking, vindicate our physical and emotional connections with space. Whether the city or the landscape outside is used as a work tool or the space itself as a result in process, all transcend towards the claim of a personal and
community connection in the relationship with the places we inhabit, how they influence the way we relate and in the same way as we act and affect its transformation.

Esta exposición recoge la perspectiva de ocho artistas mujeres de diferentes nacionalidades y el colectivo argentino Instantes gráficos, que a través de la naturaleza de la gráfica, reivindican nuestras conexiones físicas y emocionales con el espacio. Ya sea la ciudad o el paisaje como herramienta de trabajo o el propio espacio como resultado en proceso, todas trascienden hacia la reivindicación de una conexión personal y comunitaria en la relación con los lugares que habitamos, como estos influyen en la manera de relacionarnos y del mismo modo como actuamos y afectamos a su transformación.

Word about Tejiendo Conversaciones (Knitting Conversations):

Through the proposal presented by the artist Silvia Molinero Domingo, Tejiendo Conversaciones, We try to invite the community to experimentation and to meet. We propose four open sessions transforming the exhibition space into a creative laboratory and a neutral meeting point. We invite you to exchange your perspectives and concerns about the community. About space management, how it affects us or how we inhabit it or simply create and share your presence. All this in an inverted atmosphere in the manipulation of the wool. With time stopped and the space contained in the act of knitting.

A través de la propuesta presentada por la artista Silvia Molinero Domingo,Tejiendo conversaciones, tratamos de invitar a la comunidad a la experimentación y al encuentro. Proponemos cuatro sesiones abiertas transformando la sala de exposiciones en laboratorio de creación y punto de encuentro neutral. Os invitamos a intercambiar vuestras perspectivas y preocupaciones sobre la comunidad. Sobre la gestión del espacio, como nos afecta o como lo habitamos o simplemente crear y compartir tu presencia. Todo ello en una atmósfera invertida en la manipulación del tejido. Con el tiempo detenido y el espacio contenido en el acto de tejer.
